While General Hospital fans are preparing to lose Jason, Steve Burton and his wife are doing this in real life.
His fans are going to miss him once Jason heads off the grid very soon but General Hospital’s Steve Burton is living life — and that’s exactly why he decided to take a leave of absence from the ABC soap.
The news came in early February when Burton announced that he would be taking a “short break” to spend quality time with his family and now his wife Michelle has given her followers a peek at some of the new memories they are making.
The soap fave’s missus posted a bunch of photos on her official Instagram that showcased how she and the family are “romanticizing real life,” which she highly recommends.
Everything from a solo shot with her man, to a group pic with their daughters, the beautiful scenery around them, swimming ducks and pic of a quote that says it all, “Sometimes the wait is longer because the blessing is bigger.”
Burton jumped into the comments to 100% agree, as fans encouraged the beautiful family to enjoy life.
Last month, Michelle visited Burton at the studios and shared a video from behind the scenes captioned, “Life gets better when you protect your peace.”
She also had a message for her followers and stated, “Not everything or everyone deserves your energy or your response.
You don’t have to explain, justify or carry what isn’t yours. People will always choose the narrative that suits them… that’s on them, not you.”
She also reminded that “freedom comes from staying authentic and unbothered” and encouraged everyone to “focus on what truly matters” because “everything changes when you stay grateful, grounded and full of love.” Because in the end, “life is a beautiful gift, ignore the noise. Cherish every single moment.”
So, as you can see, they are doing just that!
