Sofia Mattsson is switching to a new soap opera!
The 34-year-old actress, who left General Hospital last summer after playing Sasha for seven years, is officially boarding Days of Our Lives.
The show just announced her arrival on Instagram, confirming that she’ll appear sometime early in 2027 due to the filming schedule.
There are still no details about who she has been cast to play, and whether she’s new or taking over an iconic role.
“Sofia Mattsson is making her way to Salem early next year! 💙⏳,” the show teased along with a photo of herself on set.
Fans in the comments of her welcome post seem to think she may be playing Abigail, Chad’s dead wife, who may well be resurrected.
Ironically, Kate Mansi, who played Abigail, is currently playing Kristina over on General Hospital!
At the same time, Marissa Reyes is saying goodbye to Days of Our Lives and explaining her exit as her final episode just aired.
Ryan Gosling is planning a trip to the fictional town of Salem, Illinois. He received a special invitation from star Deidre Hall to visit the set of long-running soap opera, and Ryan has accepted.
