Shocking revelation: Maurice Benard from General Hospital says he’s growing tired of the mob life on screen.
General Hospital news suggests that he might be thinking about hanging up his hat once and for all.
Clearly, we are talking about Maurice Benard as there is more and more speculation suggesting that the actor, who is best known for his role as Sonny Corinthos on the hit ABC soap, is getting tired of the onscreen mob life.
Maurice Benard Might Be Getting Tired Of The Onscreen Mob Life
Now, that’s not to say that he doesn’t love his character or that he’s not grateful for the opportunity that he’s had to play Sonny throughout his career. Instead, it just seems like Maurice is ready for a shift in his career.
In other words, Maurice might be thinking about going into podcasting full-time. That’s because anyone who has been paying attention to the actor or even taking a peek at his social media accounts will see that all he likes to talk about these days is his mental health series, State of Mind.
But then again, Maurie has made it no secret that he’s looking to break out from the daytime television world in one way or another.
Not only that, but there’s also heavy speculation suggesting that Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) might be just as desperate for a long vacation from this fictional city of Port Charles, just like his co-worker and good friend, Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
What’s Next For Maurice Benard?
It was just announced by Steve himself that he was planning on taking several long months off from the soap and that he was looking to get back to work sometime later this year.
However, Steve made it clear that his decision to take a break has nothing to do with his contract, nor does it have to do with his personal life or his health for that matter.
He just wants to focus on his marriage and his family and come back when the time is right.
So far Maurice himself has not made any comments about the matter but we will update you with all of the latest details the moment they come in.
