Joseph Duggar married wife Kendra Duggar (née Caldwell) in September 2017.
“Congratulations to the Newlyweds! It’s an amazing and exciting day for our family!” Joseph’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, announced at the time. “We loved sharing your big day with you and look forward to the amazing days ahead the Lord has in store for you both!”
The couple started courting each other in March 2017 and were engaged by May of that year. Joseph proposed to Kendra while attending his sister Joy-Anna Duggar’s wedding to Austin Forsyth.
“I’m so happy and so shocked,” Kendra told People at the time. “There’s so many words I want to say, but just shocked.”
Joseph told the publication that he was “definitely nervous” before popping the question.
“I wasn’t afraid that she was going to say no, because she has said, ‘I’m just waiting on you!’” he added. Following their nuptials, the couple has expanded their family, welcoming four kids.
Their happily ever after took a turn, however, in March 2026 when Joseph was arrested after being accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl while on vacation with his family in 2020. Joseph was hit with two charges: lewd and lascivious behavior involving molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older.

Who Are Kendra Duggar’s Parents?
Kendra was raised by parents Paul and Christina Caldwell in Virginia before they relocated to Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2008. Similar to her husband’s family, Kendra’s upbringing was rooted in faith. Paul was a pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church, where the Duggars attended.

Kendra comes from a large family, just like her husband. She is one of nine children and her siblings are Lauren, Micah, Nathan, Timothy, Olivia, Jesiah, Isaiah and Moriah.

Kendra and Joseph are the parents of four kids. Their first child, Garrett David, was born in June 2018.
“We are ready to double the fun at our house!” the couple said in April 2019 when announcing that they were expecting baby No. 2. “Being parents has already proven to be a greater joy than we had hoped or imagined. We love getting to parent together and are loving every moment and milestone.”
They welcomed daughter Addison Renee in November 2019 and less than two years later, they became parents to second daughter Brooklyn Praise, who was born in February 2021. Their youngest child, a son named Justus Joseph, was born in February 2022.
