Shock: GH Fans Claim Britt and Jason Could Leave the Show Forever — “The Soap Has Lost Its Spark.”

After Thursday’s episode, General Hospital fans believe that both Britt, played by Kelly Thiebaud, and Jason, played by Steve Burton, are leaving the show permanently.

While both of them have bid farewell to their dear ones on the show, are they really going away forever?

Are Britt and Jason leaving General Hospital permanently?

On General Hospital, after being presumed dead for years, Britt returned to Port Charles last year.

But unknown to others, Sidwell has been secretly forcing her to complete Faison’s project in exchange for the medicine she needed for her Huntington’s disease.

Eventually, Britt came clean to Jason, who offered to help her get out of the situation. In recent episodes, she acknowledged that she is close to finishing the project and worries about how Sidewell and Cullum would use it.

To prevent that from happening and protect Britt, Jason decided to help her leave Port Charles and assume a new identity.

He also chose to join her on the run. However, before they leave, the two bid farewell to their trusted people during the March 12 episode. Given how emotional their farewells were, General Hospital fans are worried that Jason and Britt are leaving for good. In reality, that’s not really the case.

Steve Burton, who plays Jason, announced earlier that he is temporarily leaving the show to spend time with his family. He shared the news with an Instagram post and also confirmed that he will return in the summer.

Meanwhile, there has been no official news from Kelly Thiebaud, who portrays Britt, or the General Hospital writers about the character leaving the show permanently.

So, until there are any official announcements, fans can rest easy knowing that their favorite characters will be back soon.

Based on the storyline, Britt and Jason seem to be leaving town only until Sidwell and Cullum are taken down. If the two villains are ultimately imprisoned or killed, it is likely that Britt and Jason will return.

Considering Burton’s announcement, the two characters, or at least Jason, could be back this summer at the earliest.
