Jessi Draper’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, quickly went to court and filed for divorce.

There’s a lot going on with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast at the moment. Just hours after news broke that ABC had canceled Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette (which was scheduled to premiere on Sunday, March 22), TMZ reported that Jessi Draper’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, had filed for divorce.

Apparently Jordan “beelined it to a Utah court Thursday and filed for divorce after five years of marriage.” He also went ahead and gave a statement to TMZ, saying, “This has not been an easy decision and it comes with a heavy heart. I’m grateful for the shared memories and the lessons.

While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition. I am committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect. I kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this as a family.”

Jessi spoke about her relationship with Jordan to Cosmopolitan ahead of Mormon Wives season 4, saying they were “in a lot of therapy” and were “taking it day by day.”

As a reminder, Jessi was pondering a split from Jordan last season and had a lot of concerns about their prenup potentially being void due to not having a witness signature. Jessi told Cosmo that ultimately she “let go of the prenup conversation, because I want to make the decision for me and my happiness, rather than for money. I still will look into that in the future if I need to.

But I felt like I was basing the decision [about whether or not to get divorced] off of that. And I didn’t want to do that.”

Man strangles wife to death in Kaithal, confesses to sister-in-law

Jind: In a shocking incident in Haryana’s Kaithal district, a man strangled his wife to death. After committing the murder, he rushed to his sister-in-law and confessed to the crime. The deceased has been identified as Shalu (30), who was a resident of Bathinda and got married to Arun, a resident of Kaithal, in 2018. The couple had two children—a 6-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy. When the sister-in-law went to his room, she found the accused’s wife lying dead on the bed. She immediately raised an alarm and called the neighbours. The police were informed about the incident.

It is alleged that the husband used to come home intoxicated every day and often assaulted his wife. “He was addicted to drugs and used to return home intoxicated daily. On the day of the incident as well, he came home drunk and started arguing with his wife, which later led to her death,” said a source.

According to the accused’s sister-in-law, she was resting in her room in the afternoon when Shalu and Arun were in their room. Suddenly, Arun came to her and said he had killed his wife and asked her to handle the situation before fleeing. “When I went to their room, I found Shalu lying dead on the bed. I immediately informed the police. With police assistance, the body was sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem, where doctors declared her dead,” she said.

The victim’s family alleged that Arun did not work and was addicted to drugs. Their daughter used to work as a labourer to support the family. As per locals, the accused also called his mother-in-law after commiting the crime. Station House Officer Geeta said that the police reached the spot immediately after receiving the information. “Post-mortem has been conducted, and a murder case has been registered. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the accused,” said the police.
