Marco has been playing with fire on General Hospital, teaming up with lover Lucas (Van Hansis) to swipe the all-important medication that Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) needs to treat her Huntington’s disease.
Marco’s dad, Sidwell (Carlo Rota), and Sidwell’s partner, Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), have been using access to the meds to force Britt to do their criminal bidding.
The plan was to deliver vials of the pharmaceutical to Britt, who would then go into hiding with Jason (Steve Burton), and someone would reverse engineer the doses she needed to keep her disease at bay.
But on the Monday, March 23 episode, that plan took a violent — and potentially deadly — turn. Is this the beginning of the end for Marco, played since March 2025 by Adrian Anchondo?
The Price of Freedom
Marco’s first attempt to snag Britt’s medication failed when he opened the safe at Wyndemere and discovered that the vials weren’t inside.
Cullum then entered the study with a new box of meds, and Marco desperately tried to cover by claiming that he thought it was his turn to administer Britt’s injection. Later, Cullum called Pascal (Marc Forget) about the “misunderstanding” and learned that Marco had lied to his face.
The following day, Marco was able to snag two vials from the safe and rushed them over to Lucas at the hospital. When Lucas worried about the danger Marco might face if Sidwell and Cullum realized what he’d done, Marco assured him that his father wouldn’t let anything happen to him.
The couple agreed to meet up later at The Metro Court and look at a lake house they could potentially move into. Meanwhile, finding the medication missing from the safe, Pascal blamed Lucas and contacted Cullum, who informed the butler he’d deal with it.
Blissfully unaware of this, Marco went to the Miller & Davis law office to get some work done until it was time to meet up with Lucas, and was interrupted by an unexpected visitor: Cullum. When we next saw the pair, Marco was lying on the floor bleeding, and Cullum was cleaning off the blade of a knife.
Discovering a text from Lucas to Marco revealing the location where he was meeting Britt, Cullum headed off to intercept them, leaving Marco bleeding out on the floor.
The End is Near?
The show’s official teasers for the Tuesday, March 24 episode indicate that Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) makes a gruesome discovery, and since this bloody event went down in her law office, it stands to reason that the discovery she makes is Marco.
Whether she finds him dead or alive is, of course, still unknown, but speculation that portrayer Anchondo is leaving the show has been gaining traction in recent weeks, sparked by a comment made by his former on-screen mother, Eva LaRue, who played Natalia Ramirez from 2024-25.
On March 13, Anchondo took to Instagram to commemorate the one-year anniversary of his debut as Marco. “Happy one year to my best friend Marco! Thank you for coming into my life and teaching me a few things.
75 episodes in one year! My life has changed so much because of you and I am forever grateful.
I’m happy to see how much love (or love to hate😆) people have for you 🌈❤️ ,” he wrote. In the comment section, LaRue wrote, “Love you Mijo! You’ve proven time and again you are capable of great things.
” Her message concluded, “On to the next great thing!🔥🙌” — and fans wondered if the actress was indicating that Anchondo had already completed his tenure at GH.
ABC does not comment on its actors’ contract status, but from the looks of it, viewers’ questions about Marco’s fate will be answered as the week unfolds — and he could well need a serious soap opera miracle to survive!
