Congrats!!👏❤🥰 GH Maurice Benard Reveals A New Grandchild.

Maurice Benard from General Hospital (GH), who plays the role of Sonny Corinthos, shared the news on social media that he has another grandchild. Read on to see the little cutie pie.

A New Addition

The news that there ‘s a new addition to the family arrived on Facebook on January 13. In it, Maurice posted a reel and the music that played was a song by The Carpenters. Plus, he wore a Carpenters shirt that his daughter gave him.

Unfortunately, the sound wasn’t good, but he either said he had a new grandson or granddaughter. However, it sounded like he meant granddaughter. Either way, ABC soap fans were delighted for him.

Then, the real-life Sonny Corinthos said, “I wanted to introduce my grand[indistinct],” adding, “her name is Mina.” Next, his camera panned to a baby with dark hair.

He said to her, “Hi baby.” Then, she smiled and Grandpa said, “You like me, don’t you?” In the comments section, his caption said:

I always say life is a roller coaster. You just have to know how to ride it. So when life is good, you have to appreciate the heck out of it.

ABC Fans Were Delighted

Naturally, GH fans sent in their best wishes and congratulations. One of them wrote, “Hi beautiful Mina! She is hanging on your every word, Grandpa, and the love showing on your face is priceless. Longtime fan here, I just love you Maurice Benard!”

Who Welcomed A New Baby?

Interestingly, it didn’t look as if Mina was a brand-new baby. Perhaps she arrived a few months ago? It is not clear which of Maurice’s kids welcomed the baby, but there is a possibility it might be Cassidy’s child. Remember, she and Anthony Cammarata became engaged in Japan last April.

Maurice Benard’s other daughters, Cailey and Heather, raise his other three grandkids: Eloise, Tiana, and Milo. Naturally, GH fans had hoped that Cassidy would also have a baby. Still, that is just a guess. Maybe, in time, Maurice will explain more about the baby.

Of course, Mina might not be Cassidy’s child, as the only recent mention of a baby on hAnthony’s Instagram showed his nephew, Milo. And, as far as we know, Joshua Benard, 21, doesn’t yet have a baby.
