Sister Wives viewers have watched the disintegration of the Brown family’s plural marriage. Cracks in the family’s foundation began to show when they moved from Nevada to Flagstaff, Arizona.
One by one, the wives left and finally started living their own lives. But Kody Brown isn’t letting go. He vowed to fight for one last love.
Robyn Brown Says Kody Is An ‘Angry, Divorced Guy’
When TLC viewers first met Kody Brown, he had three wives: Meri, Janelle, and Christine. The first season of Sister Wives showed his courtship of his eventual fourth wife, Robyn Brown. The plural family had a total of 18 children together. But once the kids were mainly grown, the marriages began to crack.
Christine Brown was the first to leave. She announced her shocking decision in 2021. Janelle Brown announced her separation from Kody Brown in 2022, followed by Meri in 2023. All of the splits were documented on Sister Wives.
Season 20 of the TLC show wrapped up on Sunday, January 4, with a shocking discussion between Robyn and Kody Brown. Robyn is Kody’s only legal wife. The other marriages were spiritual in nature. Janelle Brown received an official release from her spiritual marriage during the episode.
Kody and Robyn spent some much-needed alone time riding ATVs. They sat down for a “health check up” on their relationship after the adventure. Kody Brown has spent the season apologizing to his former wives for his role in their split. Now it was his turn to face Robyn Brown.
She admitted during a confessional that the splits with the other wives negatively affected her own relationship with her husband.
“We go through these periods where he is back to himself and we are like who we usually are in our relationship and it’s really beautiful, and we’re having a great time,” she said.
“And then something will happen and he’s kind of back to, he reverts back to the angry divorced guy.”
Kody Brown Fights For One Last Love
Kody Brown agreed that his divorces from Christine, Janelle, and Meri caused issues in his remaining marriage. “We have been going through four years or more of breakup with the family,” he told the cameras. But he’s not going down without a fight.
“Robyn and I are fighting for our marriage and our life together,” he added. In a candid moment with Robyn, Kody admitted that he hadn’t been “fair” to her by apologizing to all his other wives except her.
“You’re never unkind. You’re never disloyal. I’ve been apologizing to everybody. I think I owe you an apology most of all,” he told her. He later asked her if she forgave him and she said she did.
Sister Wives Viewers Debate Robyn’s Feelings For Her Husband
