The twosome spent quality time together and got to know each other better. In a testimonial, Meri clarified that although she met him at a dating event, she did not want to rush into anything significant without first building a solid foundation.
“So, Ron and I have known each other for about six months. There’s no pressure, we’re just hanging out, enjoying each other’s company, getting to know each other,” she explained.
The Sister Wives star added that she personally thought that it was crucial to “create a good base of a friendship” before rushing into anything else.
Meri believed in taking things slow, as she said that things would progress if they were meant to, and even if that did not happen, she would not feel upset about it.
The twosome head on a trip to Zion, and on their way to the destination, Meri opened up about her divorced life and her journey toward growth, prompting Ron to open up about his.
Meri was previously married to former polygamist Kody Brown, whom she legally divorced in 2014, and spiritually separated from in 2023.
Sister Wives star Meri Brown admits she can be herself around Ron
In the latest episode of Sister Wives, Meri and Ron went on a trip to Zion. During their drive to the location, Meri opened up about her past, saying that she spent the majority of her life trying to be someone else.
According to Meri, she always tried to say and do the right things, which prevented her from being her authentic self.
Ron agreed with her thought process, noting that he, too, was a “big believer” in living the authentic life.
“Coming up on five years of being divorced, like, honestly, I’m so happy because in a lot of ways I’m finding myself for the first time. For many years, I lived a life where it wasn’t me,” he explained.
He added that he lost himself in the process, which Meri resonated with. While speaking to the Sister Wives cameras, Meri said:
“I think it takes a lot of deep introspection and really acceptance about yourself to be able to look at your life and realize that you weren’t living it true to who you were.”
Now that Meri had embarked on a new journey, she wanted to find someone with whom she could be her true self and did not have to “perform.”
She confessed that Ron was that type of person, as he gave her the confidence to be herself around him.
The twosome spent time at Zion National Park, where they dipped their feet in a stream of water and talked some more.
Meri admitted that there was a connection between her and Ron, as both believed there was a reason they were in each other’s lives.
While speaking to Ron, Meri opened up a little more, sharing that she learnt something new about herself each time she dated someone.
Ron agreed with her sentiment, which surprised Meri, because she believed men struggled to introspect and accept that they needed to work on things.
In a separate testimonial, Meri mentioned that she was glad Ron was part of her “exciting” life. That said, she looked forward to seeing what “adventures” she and Ron would be on in the future.
