She was seen throwing a divorce party for her former sister wife.

Sister Wives: Janelle Received Her Spiritual Release From The Church
In the January 4 episode, Janelle was officially granted a spiritual release from Kody Brown by the Apostolic United Brethren church. After she got the papers, Janelle held up the release papers and repeated the word “free” many times.
She admitted in front of the cameras that the process was easier than expected. Janelle previously thought that she would need to visit multiple times to get the papers.
After speaking with church leaders, Janelle explained that the leaders were kind to her.
The church also informed her that they would notify Kody on her behalf, which meant she didn’t have to confront him. The reality TV star then reflected on her past.
She shared that she was spiritually married to Kody for almost 29 years, which was longer than she had been single.
Despite the pain she felt, she expressed gratitude for her children and said she would make the same choices again to have the same family she loves.
Sister Wives: Christine Throws A Divorce Party For Janelle
Later, as the episode went on, Janelle visited Christine at her home to tell her the news. Janelle shared that she felt relieved following her spiritual release.
Christine joked that she now has a divorce date instead of an anniversary. She revealed that she had decided to celebrate Janelle’s divorce in her own way.
In a confessional, Janelle revealed that Christine immediately planned a party, calling her a “good person” for doing so. For the party, Christine set up a floral arrangement station where guests could create their own arrangements.
She also bought temporary tattoos, joking that she had a feeling Janelle might want one that day. Another thing to do there was the spice bar challenge, where guests tested sauces with more heat.
During the party, Janelle opened up about how much she had sacrificed while married to Kody. She explained that for years she hadn’t thought about what she wanted, so the family could stay together.
Now that the release is over, those constraints are gone. Janelle said she finally feels able to move forward and write a new chapter as a single woman again.
