The Tuesday, February 17 episode of General Hospital was full of arguments, confessions and revelations! Laura (Genie Francis) presented a new opportunity to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Lucas (Van Hansis) admitted to Carly (Laura Wright) that she’d been right about his boyfriend all along, Ric (Rick Hearst) realized that Sonny (Maurice Benard) was interested in Justine (Nazneen Contractor), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) made a big career change, Pascal (Marc Forget) expressed his concern to Jenz (Carlo Rota) that Lucas was becoming an issue, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) argued with Michael (Rory Gibson) over the lies he’d told, and Chase (Josh Swickard) betrayed Michael by presenting a new angle to Nathan (Ryan Paevey) in the PCPD’s investigation. Keep reading for all the details.
Congresswoman Davis?
Since Drew’s office was being cagey on the congressman’s prognosis, Laura invited Alexis to her office and asked for an update on his condition.
Explaining that the stroke rendered Drew immobile and unable to communicate, Alexis said it was her understanding that he wouldn’t be able to complete his term in Congress.
Then, Mayor Collins shared that the governor needed to appoint someone to fill Drew’s seat until a special election can be held.
With Port Charles being the largest city in Drew’s district, Laura had been asked to make a recommendation, and she wanted to submit Alexis’s name for the position.
Though flattered, Alexis argued that she’d been both imprisoned and disbarred, but Laura contended that it demonstrated Alexis’s ability to navigate bureaucracy in favor of justice.
Still trying to convince her, Laura went on about the good they could do together for the city since they could work together in a way she couldn’t with Drew.
Because she also knew Alexis wouldn’t put special interests ahead of those she represented, the way Drew had, Laura asked her to help fight Jenz Sidwell. Alexis agreed to consider the offer.

Ms. Right
At the Metro Court, Carly excitedly told Lucas that she wanted to plan a dinner for their family and Marco’s, prompting Lucas to reluctantly tell his sister that she’d been right about Marco being involved in Sidwell’s business. He went on to share how he’d overheard Marco and his father discussing something illegal, but they hadn’t noticed him.
Sighing that she hadn’t wanted to be right about Marco, Carly asked if Lucas planned to go to the police or the WSB, but he explained that he didn’t want Marco to be arrested.
Needing to know if he was being played or if their relationship was real, Lucas had confronted his boyfriend, and Marco said he knew he’d made a mistake.
According to Marco, Lucas continued, he’d only gotten involved in the criminal side of the business after his mother died, hoping his father could help him get closure since he and Natalia had never mended their estranged relationship. Sidwell took advantage while Marco was vulnerable, and as soon as this business was over, Marco promised that he’d keep his distance from his father.
Worried for her brother’s safety, Carly was far from thrilled that Lucas was determined to stay by Marco’s side and remain on Spoon Island. Well aware that Jenz Sidwell was a dangerous man, Lucas told his sister that he was taking Marco with him when he got away.
Keep Your Enemies Close
Also at the Metro Court, Ric had breakfast with Sonny and offered to help out with legal work now that his brother was relocating his shipping business to Rochester. Justine entered and gave them an update that Rocco’s supervisor had raved about Sonny’s grandson, and he’d likely finish his community service ahead of schedule. Sonny expressed his gratitude to Justine for Rocco’s suspended sentence, and Ric added that they were appreciative of her signing off on the plea deal. But when Justine gave Sonny a pointed look and responded that she’d had her reasons, Ric swung his gaze curiously between the two of them.
Then, when Ric complimented her for not being harder on Rocco because of his relation to Sonny, she noted that she didn’t fight proxy battles, and Sonny smirked that Justine was always up for a fair fight.
After Justine left, Ric asked his brother what was going on between the two of them, pondering why the acting district attorney would hold a conversation with him out in public for all of Port Charles to see instead of doing everything that she could to put him away.
Sonny replied that he respected how Justine hadn’t set out to ruin Rocco’s life to get to him, and Ric laughed, realizing his brother liked the woman.
Acknowledging that Justine would probably come after him at some point, Sonny insisted he wasn’t going to give her anything to use against him, and they both knew where they stood with the other.
Unconvinced, Ric asked whether his brother was interested in Justine as a respected opponent or as a woman.

The Next Step
At the hospital, Willow informed Elizabeth that she was resigning so she could focus on taking care of Drew and making up for lost time with her children. Liz tried to convince her that there were ways she could keep working — like extending her leave of absence and moving Drew to Turning Woods.
Willow was adamant that Drew stay at home under her care, but promised her friend that she’d consider moving him to a long-term care facility if it got to be too much for her to handle. Leaving G.H. was unfortunately the first step in rebuilding her life, Willow added. Though disappointed, Liz wished her friend the best, and they hugged after promising to stay in touch.
Later, while at the hospital to interview a witness, Molly ran into Elizabeth. Revealing that she’d seen Liz and Ric at the hatchet range on Valentine’s Day, Molly raved about how happy she was that Liz had given her dad another chance. Molly was yet more delighted when Liz confessed that spending time with Ric lately had been easy and fun.

Business As Usual
Tracy went to Wyndemere to update Jenz that Maxie had recovered and was ready to return to Deception. And now that Maxie was back, Tracy expected a full audit, including detailed documentation of every shipment his company, SRE Worldwide, had handled for the cosmetics company.
When Jenz tried to stonewall her, Tracy declared that she wasn’t going let him treat Deception as a subsidiary of SRE Worldwide any longer; he would supply the zinc oxide, and that was it.
Tapping out a message on his phone, Jenz sniffed that he’d prefer his arrangement with Deception to stay the way it was, and if Tracy didn’t like it, she could find another “hobby.” Pascal then entered the study, so Jenz called their meeting over and instructed his butler to escort Tracy out.
Returning to the study, Pascal told his boss how he’d seen Lucas eavesdropping the day before. Sidwell figured that Lucas must not have told Marco about whatever he’d overheard, because his son hadn’t mentioned it, but Pascal wondered if Marco might be keeping the conversation from him. Jenz warned Pascal to never question his son’s loyalty, and Pascal responded that before Lucas, he’d never had a reason to.
But he couldn’t stop thinking about how resistant Marco had been about joining the “endeavors,” and he felt Lucas could be a threat to everything Sidwell had been working towards. The butler suggested that Lucas be dealt with immediately, but Jenz didn’t want to cause any unnecessary friction with his son.
However, he instructed Pascal to make sure Lucas didn’t have any more opportunities to eavesdrop. Pascal was still worried that Lucas would convince Marco to move out of Wyndemere, but Jenz stated that Marco knew how important it was for him to be there to monitor Britt — and if Lucas persuaded Marco to leave, he shrugged, he’d be there to console his son at Lucas’s funeral.
Later, Sidwell summoned Willow to Wyndemere. When she met him out on the parapet, he proposed that she finish out her husband’s term in Congress!
The Lying Game
Michael ran into Dante in the Quartermaine kitchen and pointed out that they hadn’t talked since Willow’s verdict had been handed down. Dante sighed that even though he wasn’t personally involved in the PCPD’s investigation, because he oversaw the department as acting commissioner, it was best for both their interests if he kept his distance. When Michael suggested that was just an excuse because Dante was still angry with him, Dante went off, shouting that he’d defended Michael despite knowing his alibi was shaky, and it came back to bite him.
Apologizing for lying, Michael said he hadn’t wanted to put Dante in a position where he’d have to report his brother or recuse himself because Dante was the best at the PCPD, and Michael needed him to find the shooter. Adding that he welcomed the new investigation into him, Michael said he hoped everyone would see by the end that he was innocent. Next, Dante confided that he hated not knowing if he subconsciously pushed the investigation away from Michael because of the evidence or because he didn’t want his brother to be guilty. When Michael praised Dante for being a great cop and sometimes too hard on himself, Dante replied that Michael was sometimes too much like their father with his ability to manipulate things to his benefit, and wished he’d just told the truth. Then, when Michael revealed that he trusted Dante but not the legal system (referring to his imprisonment as a teenager), Dante ended their conversation by stating that he had faith that Nathan would find the truth.
Keygate
Chase went to the PCPD to fill out some paperwork and overheard Molly and Nathan discussing how Michael’s interview hadn’t turned up any new evidence. With Molly recusing herself from the case and no new leads, Nathan wondered if the department even needed a new point person with the D.A.’s office. Bumping into Chase by the front desk, Molly informed him that she’d recused herself from the case, and when he apologized for implying that she had been acting improperly, she conceded that he’d been right to be concerned, which is why she took action. Before exiting the station, Molly declared that she was moving on and advised Chase to do the same.
Approaching Nathan, Chase said he was happy Det. West was on the case because if the PCPD didn’t follow up on every possible lead, Dante could be accused of protecting Michael. Then he suggested that Nathan had overlooked how Michael could have gotten into Drew’s house. Because there had been no forced entry, the suspect likely had a key, and Chase speculated that Michael might have one.
When Dante arrived at the PCPD, he caught up with Nathan about Maxie waking up, and Nathan then presented the theory that Michael may have had a key to Drew’s house. They called Turner in, who told them to get a search warrant. Justine also informed Dante that she’d be turning the case over to a colleague because she was biased, as she still believed Willow was guilty. Turner added that she didn’t want this case to tank her career because if the D.A.’s office arrested Michael, it would be a public admission that they charged the wrong person. She didn’t want to be anywhere near that and advised Dante to steer clear of it as well.
Returning to the Quartermaine house, Chase encountered Michael in the kitchen. When it was clear to him that his former best friend/cousin-in-law was avoiding him, Michael asked if there was a way they could co-exist, because the tension was hard on everyone. Chase clapped back that Michael could make things easier for everyone by turning himself in, and Michael again defended himself, insisting that he didn’t frame Willow. Chase scoffed that Willow would never shoot anyone, but Michael would. Just then, Tracy entered the kitchen and blasted Chase for still blaming Michael even after Willow was unjustly acquitted. After Chase insisted that Michael shot Drew, not Willow, Tracy told him that he was in the wrong family if he couldn’t let it go. Then, Nathan entered and, as Chase ducked his head, the detective announced that he had a search warrant to look for keys to Drew Cain’s house. Having nothing to hide, Michael willingly handed over his key ring to Nathan.
