Backdoor Deals, Broken Trust & Calling Out the “Bulls**t”: TLC releases a trailer that exposes everything.
After a season featuring (multiple) cross-country moves, another spiritual release, an ex-wife apology tour and a final goodbye to Coyote Pass, Season 20 of Sister Wives is coming to an end, but not before a multi-part Tell-All that will undoubtedly leave viewers longing for more.
(More answers, that is, NOT more screen time for Kody and/or Robyn.)
Following Sunday’s episode, TLC released the first trailer for the Season 20 Tell-All, a large portion of which focuses on the alleged “backdoor deal” between Kody and ex-wife Janelle to sell the Brown family’s Coyote Pass property– a deal that almost happened behind Meri’s back.
While Janelle denies the existence of this “backdoor deal,” Robyn maintains that it was very much a real thing.

“[Kody] and Janelle were talking about a backdoor deal where they sell the property out from under Meri,” Robyn tells Tell-All host Suki Krishnan.
In the next scene, we see Kody seemingly discussing the alleged deal before hinting that Janelle was the mastermind behind it.

“Janelle plays me all the time,” Kody claims. “Because I loved her and might still, I want her approval.”

Someone who isn’t concerned with getting Janelle’s approval– then or now– is Meri. In the Season 20 trailer, Janelle recalls her and Meri’s dynamic as sister wives in the early years, which happened after Janelle had married and divorced Meri’s brother.
“Meri was more than willing to kind of engage in like a heated conversation,” Janelle claims, to which Meri sarcastically admits that there may have been some “emotion involved” when Janelle joined the family, due to the fact that Janelle was her former sister-in-law.

Later in the clip, Kody denies Janelle’s comment about he and Robyn acting as each other’s “puppet,” while Meri’s BFF Jenn Sullivan— who joins her for part of the Tell-All— accuses Robyn of being “submissive,” noting that it’s something that “works for Kody.” Kody goes on to deny the claim about his “shy and pretty” wife.
“Robyn’s submissive?!” Kody says. “[Jenn’s] full of s**t.”

Robyn later insists in the trailer that, despite the profit from Meri’s Las Vegas home being used to purchase her (and Kody’s) first Mountain Mansion in Flagstaff, much of the family discourse has nothing to do with her. She also appears confused when questioned about Meri’s inability to trust her.
Meanwhile, Christine points out during the Tell-All what she believes is “a perfect example of why our family broke apart.” She and husband David Woolley also grow frustrated while discussing Kody’s ex-wife apology tour, with Christine agreeing that Kody’s reason for issuing the face-to-face apologies to his former spouses was “bull s**t.”

Viewers will also watch in the Tell-All as Kody tries (again) to play the professional polygamist card against Christine’s husband, whom he maintains has absolutely no clue about the particulars of plural marriage.
“David’s a guy and guys think they’ve got things figured out,” Kody says. “And plural marriage is the kind of thing that tells you [that] you don’t know s**t.”
In the trailer, we also see Suki asking Meri for a status update on Ron, the man she met at the beginning of the season at a speed-dating event. Suki notes that Meri appeared “really happy” while hanging out with Ron later this season and though Meri doesn’t reveal if she and Ron have taken their relationship to the next level, she confirms that she’s physically attracted to him.

“I mean have you seen him?” Meri asks. “He’s cute.”
The Season 20 Tell-All trailer also teases another discussion about the catfishing scandal Meri was involved in back in Season 6, with both Robyn and Kody bringing up the issue separately to Suki.
