General Hospital spoilers confirm that Jason Morgan will be leaving the canvas soon, and it looks like fans can expect a major plot twist as he exits storylines.
Steve Burton revealed in early February that he is taking a break from the ABC soap for a couple of months to spend time with his family.
More recently, the actor talked about a major plot twist for his character, as Jason temporarily departs from Port Charles.
Steve Burton Hints ‘What’s To Come’
A new video was uploaded to the Stone Cold and Jackal YouTube page. As per the usual, Burton along with co-host, fellow GHer, Bradford Anderson (GH’s Damian Spinelli), chatted about what they were up to recently and offered updates on their General Hospital characters and storylines.
The two talked about their comedy tour, as well as Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) choosing Spinelli, and Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) latest drama.
With that said, while Burton couldn’t spill a lot about what’s to come, he did provide plenty of ‘interesting’ hints.
A Lot Will Happen Until The End Of March
During the video, Burton hinted about what’s to come for Jason Morgan. He noted that, “It’s going to get very interesting. There’s going to be a lot of happening. There’s going to be a couple of things.”
Burton added, “Things that are going to either be like, ‘whoa’, and then ‘what’?” The actor also noted that, “I can’t wait to actually talk about it.”
For fans wondering when Jason is going to exit, Burton did say this, “We still got till, you know, I air I believe, until the end of March somewhere in there.”
While there’s no official final airdate for Jason, yet, or an official return date, it sounds like fans have a few more weeks left to enjoy “Stone Cold” before he heads off air. Fans can expect his return sometime in the summer of 2026, likely in July.
