Tears fall again: Janelle Brown’s Message of Hope, Heartbreak Honoring Son Garrison.

Sister Wives star Janelle Brown shared a message of hope and heartbreak to her son, Garrison Brown, on the anniversary of his death.

The TLC star took to Instagram on March 5 to share the heartfelt tribute. The date marks the second anniversary of his March 2024 passing.

The beautiful message was written like a letter, as if Janelle were speaking directly to her son. She also noted that the date carried a deeper meaning, as it was the same day she stepped into what she called her “new life.”

Brown wrote, “Hi sweetheart. I’ve felt you around today. This is my favorite picture of you. You were so happy.”

She continued, “I had protected this day on my calendar for weeks. I didn’t know what I was going to do, but I wanted the ability to choose when the day arrived.”

“It turned out the movers I hired to help me bring the big things from storage to the new house could only move me today. I think it was the perfect thing.

I was so busy but it was also significant to me that today would have signs of the new chapter, the new life that has begun for me since you left.”

Brown signed the message, “I love you always, Garrison. Mom.”

The “new life” Brown referenced was the roots she has firmly planted in North Carolina since Garrison’s death. In early 2024, Brown, her daughter, Maddie, and her son-in-law, Caleb Brush, purchased a large plot of land they planned to live on and develop into a business, Taeda Farms. In late 2025, Janelle’s home was completed and ready to move in.

Since Garrison’s death, Janelle also obtained the religious paperwork she needed to dissolve her marriage to his father, Kody Brown. Garrison is the middle child of six. Janelle and Kody are parents to Logan, Madison, Hunter, Garrison, Gabriel, and Savannah.

Sister Wives is currently on hiatus.
