Let’s just say that if he could turn back time, he probably would. There’s heavy speculation suggesting that General Hospital alum Chad Duell might regret quitting the soap.
Because if he were given a chance to come back to this fictional town of Port Charles, there’s a very good chance that he would.
Chad Duell Might Regret Quitting The Soap
As many of our readers already know, Chad, who was best known for his role as Michael Corinthos, last the show over a year ago.
His character was receiving treatment for his burns at a rehab center in Germany during the time of the actor’s departure.
Chad said that he felt as though he did everything he possibly could do with the role and that he was looking to expand and show off his talents in possibly the prime time television world, too.
However, that never happened. Instead, Chad did get theater roles, but no one knows if that’s what he really wanted to end up doing after he left the hit ABC soap.
What’s Next For Chad Duell?
That said, Michael Corinthos ended up coming back to Port Charles as actor Rory Gibson took over the role. And let’s just say that fans have been incredibly happy.
They’ve noted how great Rory has been in the role and how he has such natural chemistry with a lot of his female co-stars.
Now, that’s not to say that Chad didn’t have chemistry either, but there was heavy disappointment when he announced that he was leaving. Some fans were hoping that he would come back after a short stint away, but that never happened, either.
Then again, Chad has been dealing with some personal issues. He did tell the Daily Drama podcast that he was going through some major life adjustments.
He said at the time, “A lot of stuff’s been going on in my life. There’s a few things behind it but one thing I did say is my dad passed away and I’m still coming to terms with that.”
Now, whether or not Chad Duell ever returns to the daytime television world remains to be seen, but for now he has not made any comments about the matter.
If General Hospital doesn’t take him back in a different role (which is doubtful), there’s always the chance that he could try his hand at one of the other three major soaps. Watch this space.
General Hospital airs weekdays on the ABC network. Check your local listings for times.
