It’s Official!! Hulu Announces Demi’s Removal After Explosive Backlash!

The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives is back and after last season’s cliffhanger of a finale, fans are likely to binge the whole of season three in one go.

However, for anyone who has only had time to watch the first few episodes, it looks as though last year’s so-called ‘villain’ Demi Engemann has quit the show.

It’s no secret that season two was tough for Demi who found herself locking horns with almost every other cast member except for Whitney Leavitt – including her former best friend Jessi Ngatikaura. When The Secret Lives of Mormon Wivesreunion rolled round, Demi was nowhere to be seen, instead speaking to the host Nick Viall privately before the episode was filmed.

Unsurprisingly, season three kicks off without Demi too. Having fallen out with most of the cast over the Marciano scandal, whether Taylor Frankie Paul is leader of the group and her friendship with Jessi, Demi stopped being invited to MomTok gatherings and did not film any confessionals for the show.

Has Demi left MomTok?

However, as a member of MomTok (in the business sense), Demi is still active on the influencer scene and the women are all invited to the same events and offered similar work opportunities. It was therefore inevitable that Demi would return to the show in some form, which happens in ‘The Book Of Demi’ episode.

From episode three onwards, Demi features sporadically throughout the series and appears more regularly from episode six. However, her husband Brett Engemann does not feature at all throughout the series, except for one phone call in the penultimate episode where they discuss whether Miranda’s ex-husband Chase ‘shoved her’ in season two.

Saying that, while Demi does feature in season three, she has not been promoting the new season on social media and appears to be distancing herself from MomTok and the show. Will she be at the reunion? And will she return in earnest for season four? We’ll have to wait to find out.
